Yep, that’s me suffering.
It was 15 minutes before that picture that I realised that the exhaust bracket come balance tube was not in fact painted with high heat resistant paint, but was in fact powder coated. This happened when I unwrapped the cling wrap that had been keeping the paint stripper moist for 2 days and there was no effect, sigh.
So, I tried a heat gun. Nope.
Then I tried a blow torch. Nope.
Wire wheel it was. This was an extremely long, painful task. This fragile body of mine doesn’t like this kind of work. And that little wire wheel is a bitey little bastard! My hands and fingers can attest to that.
During my little “OMG I’m going to die” breaks I sat pondering what to do with the tank design. As you can see my freehand lacks a definite artist flare, but hey, that’s why we have computers, right?
Anyhoo, it was a day well spent and much progress was made, at least that is what I am telling myself.

This motivates me to make some changes to my Sporty.
